Tucker Hill vision

People notice how different Tucker Hill looks from other neighborhoods. At first they think it’s all about the flowers. But it is an interwoven experience that is about more than meets the eye, including:

  • A variety of hedges, maintained at a mature size, with no gaps between shrubs.
  • An interesting mix of retaining walls, in diverse materials.
  • Courtyard gardens; residents transform their side yards into gloriously private havens surrounded by an array of wall materials, from wood to pierced brick.
  • Unique landscaping materials used along sidewalks and around public buildings, such as wooden arbors or fences of pierced brick or wrought iron.
  • A mix of annuals and perennials throughout the neighborhood, so there is never a lack of color, even in winter.
  • Horticulture Department devoted entirely to maintaining the beauty of Tucker Hill greenery.
  • Full-time "Flower Lady;" a Collin County Master Gardener, who manages the floriculture of Tucker Hill and offers continuous container programs and education to residents.
