* Rated by the Texas Education Agency The Prosper School District 2009-2010 enrollment totals 3,625 students. PISD is actively preparing for growth with a $710 million capital improvement program already in place. They project nearly 10,000 students by the 2014 school year, and are already planning with another new high school, four additional elementary schools, a second middle school, expansion and renovation of current school facilities, land purchase, technology and buses. All schools will be built to hold more students than actual attendance. The first new state of the art high school opened in August of 2009. Each classroom is equipped with a Promethean Interactive White Board, a ceiling mounted projector, a document camera, four student laptop computers, and of course, a great teacher! The Fine Arts wing features a performance auditorium, and areas for band, choir and dance (also includes an outdoor band practice field). The Multipurpose Facility includes an indoor practice area, weight training facility, and sports medicine/rehab center.
